Here are some pictures of some of Samantha's friends here at the orphanage. There are some precious children here that need a home if anyone is interested, I will direct you to the right place. The 3rd and 4th pictures are of the street vendors outside of the orphanage. These ladies are good friends of Samantha's and have given her free food twice in the last week. Samantha will be looking for street vendors on Timberview Ln. won't that be interesting. The last picture is of our new friend, Mali, she is being adopted on Wednesday as well by a precious couple from Michigan. Samantha felt alot better about the whole going to America when she found out about Mali. We hope to be on the same flight on the way back home. Pray for Dave and Katie (Mali's new parents) that they can work out some paperwork issues.
Today Samantha seemed much better. Tomorrow is the big adoption day and she has to go with us tomorrow. Please pray for her and us. Please pray that when we go before the DSDW that Samantha will say that she wants to go with us. Today she seemed more at peace with being adopted. I made her a bracelet with her name on it and she started trying to say her name and she started writing it in English. Copying off of her bracelet. She drew a picture of our house.

She got a drink from one of the street vendors similar to a slushy here. I told her that her brother Andy know's how to make those. She said how will I tell him if I want one. We assured her that she would know English soon because she is a smart girl. All of our communication right now is through the workers there at the orphanage. Tomorrow after the DSDW meeting where we adopt her here, we go and start the paper work for her visa at the Embassy. This is what we need to get back by Friday so we can leave on Sunday. We appreciate your prayers that this will go smoothly. Again please pray for peace for Samantha. I have seen so many answered prayers in my life. I believe in the power of prayer. God is so good. We love you all. Jay and Anita

God is at work I'm sure. It was encouraging just to read that she is asking questions and making some attempts at English. There is so much to pray for like the other couple and their paperwork and the little boy whose adoption fell through. We will be praying for you and Samantha that all will go well tomorrow. What a huge step for her and you guys as well. We love you . Mom and Dad

I have been praying for you every day! I had lost the blog address...until today! I was so excited to get it from Sandi & be able to join you on your journey and be able to pray specifically for your needs.

I will be praying for the children left behind as well. Could you just pick out a couple for me & bring them home with you!! It's especially hard at Christmas to know that so many children will not be in a warm, loving home celebrating the birth of our Saviour together.

I've been searching around the internet on how to start an adoption outreach project through the church... something like the Antioch Adoptions out of Washington State. Still not sure how I can manage that and homeschool as well. If God has placed it on my heart, he will help me with the details!

Off to put on the "teacher hat" before the school day begins! Enjoy your day! We are looking forward to your safe return!

Lifting you up in prayer,
Kimberly
